This new edition (2nd ed., CH, Nov'79; 3rd ed., 1987) of a very useful engineering mathematics handbook covers a vast spectrum of very useful relationships in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, probability and statistics, vector analysis, differential and integral calculus, and very useful series approximation methods for solving problems. There are 22 well-delineated chapters and five very useful appendixes with numerical tables, glossary of symbols, conversion tables, a small sample of solved examples, and a good bibliography. Boxed areas in chapters outline important equations. Excellent diagrams; very serviceable index. A gold mine of information for anyone who uses mathematics--from the university student of science, mathematics, or engineering to research/design engineers.
