The book introduces students to a wide variety of styles and genres from the modern and classical periods. Each lesson includes a variety of vocabulary and grammar exercises as well as close listening and speaking activities. A separate section in each lesson provides cultural background for the reading. The appendices contain an Arabic-English glossary and grammatical reference charts. Five audio CDs are available to accompany Part Two. Covers approximately 130 contact hours of instruction. Students completing Part Two should reach the threshhold of an advanced level of proficiency.
