Supercritical fluid extraction is used across a wide range of industries, from food processing to pharmaceuticals, perfume processing, chemical engineering, and biotechnology, to name but a few. Supercritical CO2 has emerged as the solvent of choice due to its low cost, non-flammability, non-toxicity, and mild critical temperature. The last thirty years have produced vast amounts of data on the solubility of numerous solutes, but it remains scattered throughout the literature. For the first time, Solubility in Super Critical Carbon Dioxide gathers, organizes, and summarizes this data into approximately 800 tables and graphs, one for each compound, organized in alphabetical order for convenient access.
Índice: Preface. Notation. List of Solutes. Thermodynamic Properties of CO2. Solubility Data. References.
